CCFT and CCCUE endorse Mary Strobridge for the Board of Trustees

The Cuesta College Federation of Teachers (CCFT) and the Cuesta College Classified United Employees (CCCUE) have endorsed Mary Strobridge to represent the 5th district (North County) on the Cuesta College Board of Trustees (BOT).

Ms.  Strobridge has been an educator for 28 years, serving students and balancing their needs with that of the District in San Miguel. She is experienced with the complexities of the state funding processes. Cuesta College is expanding its bridge programs that support pre-college and basic adult education, and Mary has experience in both of these arenas.

Here are a few words from Mary:

“My family has lived in Atascadero since 1981.  I attended Cal Poly and Cuesta College and graduated from Cal Poly with a Multiple Subject Credential and a Specialist Credential in Reading. I have a Master’s in Education. I’ve been an educator for 28 years—all of those years at Lillian Larsen School in San Miguel.  I was an adjunct professor for a private university for six years teaching reading strategies to teacher candidates.  I have been a teachers’ association president, secretary and treasurer.  I’m still a California Teachers Association State Council member and SLO County Director for CTA Channel Islands Service Center Council.”
